Japanese Porn Stars Got a Delete Button for Their Porn Career

japanese prn

A human rights group in Japan introduced a new regulation for porn productions that will basically allow porn actors to push delete on their career in porn if they decide to leave the industry. Actors will have the right to force production companies to stop distributing movies they appeared in.

A Human Rights organization in Japan reached an agreement with porn companies to accept new guidelines. Actors in adult entertainment will be able to extract themselves from movies once they have been on the market for five years.

If a performer decides to revoke his consent the company has to take the movie as well as all marketing materials from the market. This includes photos, behind-the-scenes- footage, covers and even magazines. This will help performers wanting to leave the industry to start a new career.

In case the performer doesn’t decide to revoke the rights the company will be able to distribute the movie for another year. The distributor’s rights will be automatically renewed for one year every time the performer doesn’t decide to pull the plug.

While the new regulation is neither a law nor legally binding it is mandatory for Japanese production companies if they want to get the certificate »appropriately made adult video« which is an important factor in the Japanese porn industry. Porn studios that want to keep the certificate need to comply with the new regulation with all contracts after April 1, 2018.

So while that new regulation is revolutionary from the perspective of privacy rights, it still won’t end the blurring of the essential human body parts in Japanese porn. Oh the humanity … When will it end?
